We Are Grounded In

Jewish Rhythms

We gather as an intergenerational community to welcome Shabbat and Jewish festivals in ways that are joyful, enlivening, and connective.

Jewish Values

Everything we do is infused with reverence for Jewish values which inform our educational program, social justice, community building, and collaborations.

Jewish Practices

We are grounded in embodied Jewish practices including everything from lighting Shabbat candles to the pursuit of justice.

Our Community

Kesher Pittsburgh is a community enlivening Judaism at the intersection of spirituality and social justice. We are an intergenerational, intersectional community that has different needs and desires at different stages of life. We build community through learning and unlearning, engaging in tikkun olam (healing the world), celebrating and mourning, and strengthening relationships with one another, locally and beyond.

We are people of different ages, races, genders, sexual orientations, positions on Israel / Palestine, and understandings of Divinity. Interfaith and multi-faith families are welcome and wanted — Jewish identity, upbringing, or familiarity with practice are not prerequisites for participating or belonging. Our community is only as rich as our diverse identities, backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.

We are excited to pray, play, and make community with you!
